After the maid came in there was no point in trying to sleep longer, I got up and showered.
Since Hector was very interested in going on the boat, named the Booze Cruise, I decided I would go with him. So after breakfast we signed up, it was 20 euros for a 6 hour boat ride along the coast.
First they took us to a place where we cliff dived. I agreed to do it, having heard that you had a choice between some smaller ones and some bigger ones./ It ends up there was only one choice, and it was pretty high. We swam over, climbed the rock -- partially with my flip flops, then I took them off and climbed barefoot, which was a little painful but more sure-footed. At the top when it was my turn, I looked down and thought, Oh my God that's a long way down. But it would have been worse to try and climb back down, pretty much impossible. So I jumped. The guy told me to lean back, but I guess on the way down I didn't keep my legs together, so when I leaned back the impact went more or less right on the buttocks (as Forrest Gump would say, it came up and bit me).
After about 5 minutes the pain went away. When I had climbed back on the boat, I realized that I no longer had my watch on. I remembered having it as I swam to the rock, so I must have lost in on impact. So my watch is somewhere at the bottom of the Meditteranean :(
Next the boat took us to a bat cave, which we swam into. Despite claims by the woman at the desk, there were maybe 5 or 6 that flew past, not thousands. Still it was neat to see. Some people did another cliff diving, but I declined for the sake of my rear.
The last stop of the boat was at a private beach, which there appeared to be no way to access it from land because it was surrounded by cliffs. We stayed there for a while, I mostly laid on the beach and took it easy.
On the ride back a couple of the guys who had been drinking a lot were really showing it, but I don't think more than 2 or 3 were actually drunk. Hector and I had hardly drank anything, so we just watched them make fools out of themselves. And the music wasn't too bad on the boat.
We got back around 6pm, and took it easy until dinner. After dinner it was really quiet once again, even though it was supposed to be Karoake night -- nobody ever sang. So I hung out again with Hector again and headed to bed around 1am. I had asked earlier in the evening, while I was checking out and signing up for the Bus to Athens, for them to give me a wake up call at 8am. The checkout time is at 9am.
